The kit contains over 590 components, including wheels of various diameters made from turned wood and cardboard. All wheels have a 4mm diameter hole and come with 300mm lengths of dowel. Plastic tubing is also provided for use as end stops and spacers.
In Key Stage 1 Design & Technology lessons, children use mechanisms like levers, sliders, wheels, and axles in their projects, helping them understand movement.
