Robotics Mats – At the Farm

Using the environment of a working and visitor farm, introduce the real-world use of robotics into your classroom.

• Contains 4 mats which seamlessly connect to create a realistic farm setting. Also includes activity cards with coding and lesson ideas for use with the TTS robotics range.

• The activity cards include information and activities which focus on the different occupations and tasks found in a busy farm setting, demonstrating how every employee plays an important role in its functioning. Activities include the planting of seeds, lambing season, feeding the animals, fixing broken machinery, the work of the beekeeper and many more.

• The activity cards incorporate the use of resources from within the TTS robotics range, including Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot, Loti-Bot and Oti-Bot. Suitable for all Key Stages, programming skills are built progressively through the lesson ideas.

• The extra-large size of the connected mats facilitates collaboration, as larger groups of leaners can work together at one time. This engaging and realistic bundle enables learners to fully appreciate the jobs involved in the running of a farm. It also encourages children to expand their programming skills as they use the robots to perform some of those tasks.
